Default Harry Potter

Now that it has been a while since the last book came out, I have been rereading them. From the first book to the last. I am just starting the second book, the Chamber of Secrets. I don't know how many of you are Potter fans, but I am. I was just wandering which book you thought was the best. Up until the last book, I would has said it was The Order of The Pheonix with Dumbledores Army. I thought JK had really hit the nail on the head because by this book her writing skills had vastly improved. It's almost amusing when you read the first book because it was almost like someone else had written it.

However, with the seventh book...I'm not sure, it was awesome! So I can't be sure which I like best. But rereading the books now I know the whole story allows me to do the nerdy thing of working out how everything happened and connect the story line to see if it makes sense. You know how with some films, the sequels sometimes miss things and it makes it crappy. So far, everything seems to make sense in the grand scheme of the story line, which makes JK a genius imo.

I got unhappy when I found out JK wasn't Scottish... She just moved here when she was young... WAAAAAHHH!

I never thought much of the books, but then I'm not really a book person. My eyes start hurting if I stare at black on white for to long. I have heard nothing but good things about them though.

Oh you should definatly read the first two before you decide whether or not they are good for you. The first book is okay, but you can really see the improvement in her later books. I'm reading them now still lol. I love Harry Potter. If you need to escape into a different world to get away from everything, these are the books to read.

I think I have read the first two, after that I just relied on the films. My gran is always going on about how good they were but I never really took any notice. xD

I've read them all several times, my favourites being 3 and 7. I didn't really like the movies though, until the sixth which was actually superior to the novel in my opinion (I actually didn't like the sixth book at all)

But...

Lol, you know, that is a pointless spoiler and I nearly ditched a friend because they thought it would be funny to tell me that before I finished reading the book.

I like Harry Potter. But I haven't read any of the books since the goblet of fire really. I read it a few years ago. It is a really good series and I like that her writing style isn't really confusing. It simple yet interesting. I'm not sure what my favorite book is though... its been sooo long!

Wasn't Evil Link IP banned for a few weeks for doing that AZ?

Love Harry Potter books, they are very easy to read and have such a great story to them. It's clear that JK really does have a lore to the world that she has created, which is deep and goes back several generations. I just think it's a shame that it's ended now. I know that the Scottish Book is being worked on, but I hope for a "prequel" that explains Lilly and James' life and the build up to Voldemort the first time around (and why Voldemort was so old when he first decided to start taking over the world).

^Stupid bot!

I'm just now reading the first book. I remember I read the first three a long time ago and started Goblet of Fire but never finished it. I'm really liking it so far but I have heard from others too that her writing did improve. Not that the first book is badly written, it's just written different. I remember one of my favorite movie's was Chamber of Secrets but, I dunno how that will be will the books. And I haven't seen the newest movie yet either.

I guess I'm a little behind... but our library was closed for about 4 years... so I guess I don't need an excuse. And now its open again so... yay! =D
