As you can tell, over the past few weeks Rauru's Return has quietened down a little. Fortunately Secre has come just at the right time to help the News Team keep up to date on all Zelda related news and funnies.
However, the content team (as in me) is in need of some help. I've got Rauru's Return to renew, and all of that old site content to go through and update and re-Zeldarise to the world. It's all there, sitting in an archive, but I just don't have the time to do it all myself.
So I need a few people to jump on board and help out. All you need is some basic HTML skills, great writing skills and the ability to learn Photoshop/GIMP/Paint Shop Pro. You'll need to be an expert in Zelda games, and if you only want to help out on a certain game, that's just fine as well.
If you are interested, please e-mail me at webmaster(at)raurusreturn(dot)nospamcom naturally remove the nospam and replace the (at) and (dot), make sure that the subject is Staff and I'll get back to you. Alternatively you can contact me on the forums as well. In the e-mail please provide me with some past experience in working with websites, and why you should be chosen. If you've never worked on a site before, but you know HTML that's fine too. |

Yo, I'm Secre, and I was made a news writer because I gave a few stories to Brian. Brian also told me to introduce myself here, so I guess I will. I really love the Zelda series, and have played all the games since A Link to the Past, but as an avid gamer and a Nintendo fanboy, That's sorta to be expected.
My favorite Zelda game has to be Majora's mask, just because it's so different from the rest of the series in a good way. Other than the Zelda series, I really love the Tales Series. I've played five of the games and was only disappointed in one. Other favorites include the Super Smash Bros. series, Mass Effect, and Assassin's Creed, to name a few.
When I'm not playing video games, I'm usually either on the computer, sleeping, eating, or at the most evil of daily routines, work. Yeah, I'm your typical video game nerd.
As I'm not used to introducing myself, I may have left alot of stuff that I'm supposed to say off. But that's an easy fix. PM me if you wanna know more about me, and I'll respond as soon as possible. And now for my first news post!
Apparently, sometime about two weeks ago, Sony Computer Entertainment held a launch event in Malaysia for some random thing that they sell called the PS3. When it was time for Sony of Malaysia' MD, Naoi Sudo, to come to the stage, the music used is best heard when playing A Link to the Past; it was the Legend of Zelda theme!
Now, I may be mistaken, but isn't The Legend of Zelda a Nintendo copyright? I don't think Sony should have done that. Can you say Lawsuit?

This is just a quick update.
In an interview with Miyamoto, he mentions that he wants big, new ideas for the Zelda franchise. Whatever that is, we don't know. Miyamoto sure know how to be vague, that's for sure. Anyways, you can read the full article here.

The Legend of Zelda is one of those games that can bring the attention of the world onto it with just a minor announcement, it's that legendary. However, for something that's so legendary there's an extraordinarily lack of merchandise and licensing of the game.
Yet, it would appear that someone's managed to license our favourite franchise into the world of confectionery.
Yep, that's the Hylian Shield from Ocarina of Time, and yep, that's mints. Apparently they've been spotted around a few stores in America, but for those of us who live outside of that country, ZeStuff is able to ship them to you. You can buy their stuff at ZeStuff.com.
I've also added the Poll back to the main site, so please vote and let me know what you think! |

It's been a very, very long time coming but the Downloads section is finally complete. You are now able to download the following:
Avatars
Books
Comics
Fonts
Magazine Scans
Manga
Manuals
Music
Wallpapers
We have one of the most complete collection of actual Zelda Books on the internet to date, and I'm currently in the long and depressing process of scanning another one. We also have one of the most complete Wallpaper archives online, and we have almost all Zelda Music to download as well.
I can't say we have the most complete Manga collection, but we do have all manga that's been translated by Goddess Rinoa! If you want your translated works added to the manga archive, please let me know in the usual way.
Speaking of Manga, BerriBlue, the lovely lady who's translating a Zelda Doujini has translated a lot more pages since I last updated! She's been a very busy woman indeed, pages 1 through 53 are now available to download! Our affiliate, Zelda Infinite has an exhaustive list available of the links here.
As always we're looking for staff members, so if you want to be a news poster of a content writer, please contact me through the forums with a copy of your previous work and why you should be a writer and I'll get back in contact with you shortly! |

That's right, the ultimate site for re-orchestrated (literally!) Zelda music is back with their new album: Soundscapes Volume 3. It's thirteen different tracks of our favorite Zelda tunes from different Zelda games remastered and re-orchestrated into one album. If you, by any chance, are not familiar with ZREO, check out the jukebox. Although we are not affiliated with ZREO, we are affiliates with WZMR, and they are the source for our jukebox here at Rauru's Return. Also, Zentendo has also interviewed ZREO about the new album and possible future projects.
If you want to know more about ZREO as a whole site, go here.
If you want the blog update concerning the album, go here.
If you want to read the interview, go here.

This is just a quick message, one of our affiliates: World Zelda Music Radio, or WZMR for short have closed their main website for a few days whilst they sort out a few internal things. Their radio links will still work, therefore the Jukebox feature here will continue to pump out the best Zelda and ZREO music possible to keep us all happy.
We'll let you know if anything further happens. |
